Rachel

Founder and President

Rachel has been a lifelong animal lover and became involved in animal rescue in 2011. She has fostered many dogs, puppies, and kittens over the years and currently has two dogs and four cats. After losing her young dog Vincent to bone cancer, Rachel knew she had to honor Vincent’s life by helping other pets and families experiencing similar difficulties.   After inspiration from a friend and the rescue community, Rachel decided to start Love, Vincent. The process of starting the organization has been bittersweet because Vincent is still very much missed and cherished in Rachel’s life, but she knows that bringing a smile to others will help her with the grieving process. By sending care packages Rachel hopes to help animals and their families forget about their troubles, even if only for a moment, and remember to treasure every day spent with those we love.

Marsha has been a dog lover all of her life.  She grew up with a black standard Poodle, and it has always been on her bucket list to get one.  Two years ago, Sassy came into her life.  Marsha has a nephew with epilepsy who has spent a lot of time in hospitals.  His best days are always the ones when the therapy dog visits.  This sparked a desire to use Sassy to bring joy and comfort to others, and she recently became a certified therapy dog.   In 1988, Marsha was bitten by the dog show bug, and that was the year she got her first West Highland White Terrier.  Although she no longer shows dogs, in that time she finished seven champions and bred five litters.  As a member of the West Highland White Terrier Club of Northern Ohio, she became involved with Westie Rescue.  It seems she was never able to just foster a Westie–she would always end up as their forever home! Marsha is currently owned by Bronson, her final finished Westie Champion, and Griffin, her latest rescue Westie! Marsha is also a member of the West Highland White Terrier Club of America. They are very devoted to doing research with canine health issues, supporting ethical breeding, assisting with rescue on a national level and promoting education of the breed. Being a cancer survivor herself, Marsha was very excited to be a part of Love, Vincent. She recognizes how difficult the battle of fighting cancer can be not only on the patient, but also the caregivers.  Through this organization, owners can be comforted to know that there are others who care about them and have compassion for them as they go through this difficult journey.
